Cool Places to Dine in Shanghai after a Busy Week of Work!

After a long and tiring week of homework, tests and socializing, it’s time to relax and eat something good. Food provides us with energy for our daily activities and keeps us energized. It also helps repair and replace damaged body parts and recharges us. Here are some restaurants I’ve visited in Shanghai that I find very suitable for Friday nights/weekends!!

  1. Rumor 传闻 · 洋食 (新乐路店)【Rumor · Foreign Food (Xin Le Road)】

It’s a restaurant that serves both Chinese and Western food. It also offers all kinds of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The environment is very cozy, there are block seats for each table, surrounded by all kinds of pretty floral decorations. It’s definitely worth a try! My friend and I really enjoyed the dishes and the waiters are also very nice.

2. 文通冰室 (Wen Tong Ice-room)

This restaurant serves typical Chinese dishes from the southern region of China. The restaurant is famous for its reasonable prices, good food, good lemon tea and unique decoration. It’s located in the largest shopping center in Pudong which is the perfect place for people who like to hang out with their friends and then go out to eat together!

3. ALIMENTARI GRANDE (Dong Hu Road)

This is a restaurant that serves typical Western food. There are all kinds of pizza, salmon bagel, salmon salad, pancakes, ham burrata and all kinds of desserts! This restaurant offers a spectacular view of the typical streets of Puxi. Inside, it’s cozy and very suitable to go alone. I highly recommend the banana cake – a real delicacy.
