Red Spot Design Exhibition in Shanghai —the exploration of future development

The Red Point Design Concept Award, one of the leading international design awards founded in 2005 by Professor Peter Zack, has become a representative label for product designs around the world. The Red Spot Design Competition consists of the theme “Foreseeing the Future.” According to online data, around 6,600 design studios, companies, universities, research laboratories, inventors, college students, and design professionals around the world participated in the Red Spot competition.

Starting from this year, a group of international design experts selected 333 award-winning designs, of which 265 won the Red Point Award, 40 won the Red Point Best Design Award, and 28 design concepts were awarded the Red Point Award for Excellent Works. These masterpieces are currently displayed in the Red Spot Exhibition in Shanghai. The Red Spot Design Concept Award-Winning Works Exhibition made its first stop in the Red Spot Design Museum in Xiamen, presenting works from 55 countries. The Jing An Da City began this exhibition from March 28 to June 30.

The Red Spot Exhibition showcases various marvelous designs that are applicable in various aspects of our future lives. One of the designs displayed in the gallery is the “Halo City” electric folding scooter. “Halo City” is an electric folding scooter used for personal transport. It is an effective solution to the problem of short distance transportation in daily lives. It is equipped with a “chain folding system” that enables it to be folded and taken for public transport in an easier way, providing convenience for its users.

Other inventions displayed in the exhibition include designs such as child toys, games, and school bags that are specifically tailored to ensure children’s safety. Food storage containers are made by natural and recyclable materials that reduce energy consumption used by refrigerators.

All of the inventions in this exhibition portray a possible future development that benefits human society. The Red Spot Exhibition is a great opportunity for people to understand more about the advancement of technology in the world.
