Every year, Drama Club will act performances in the 1st floor auditorium, and parents will be allowed to watch the play. However, many parents might not be able to understand the English dialogues. This time, in order to solve this problem, a python program will be used to display translated text on a screen to give Chinese-speaking parents a better understanding about the story.
This python program will display translated Chinese subtitles on the screen as the actors talk, but it needs manual input in order to synchronize with the actors’ lines. The subtitle system had achieved some level of success in rehearsals. Therefore, it is very possible that the subtitle system will be used in the final performance.
