The Avengers cast are coming to Shanghai Disney

The highly anticipated movie Avengers: Infinity War has secured its release date in China for May 11–two weeks after its North American release on April 27. To promote the release, some members of the cast behind the Avengers series are visiting our very own Shanghai Disney Resort! Directors Joe and Anthony Russo will be here along with four major actors in the movie: Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Tom Holland (Spiderman), Mark Ruffalo (the Hulk), and Tom Hiddleston (Loki).

Avengers: Infinity War is the third installment of the Avengers series and the nineteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The super team will once again assemble and join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy, but this time to stop Thanos from getting the all-powerful Infinity Stones. The team is facing the biggest threat ever, and they have to be prepared to sacrifice themselves for the greater purpose. This time, not everyone will return safe and sound like before, making many fans quite nervous.

All of the foreshadowing in the previous movies build up to this event, and people all around the world are guessing what will happen next. Marvel, however, is not giving away any clues. It was said only few people are aware of the entire script, even some of the actors were only allowed to see their own parts when filming.

As the result of this serious attitude, Marvel was strict about when to give the original copy and, because of this, led to the delay of mainland release. For mainland fans, it’s unfortunate to be unable to catch the first release, however, we now have this opportunity to make up for our loss. It is confirmed that the “Avengers Tour” will be at Disneyland, beginning at 15:30 on April 19. This event will be free for everyone inside the park.

“I’m so excited for the premiere next Thursday for the movie!” said Olivia Lu (11C) when she first heard the news. “It’s just so sad that the timing [doesn’t work] for us since we have exams during that time. I really hope that I could attend this show.” For students who finish their mid-terms on Thursday, the “Avengers Tour” is certainly a great chance for them to meet their superheroes in person and relax from schoolwork. Even if we couldn’t go, we can still proudly say that we were less than 30 kilometers away from RDJ (Or Chris Hemsworth, etc)!”
