New Version of Book Tank is now available for students to buy and sell used books and items!
Book Tank, by Jason Qiu (ET12C) and Cindy Huang (ET12C), is back! Every year, students sell and buy textbooks and novels to prepare for the following year’s study. Last year, Jason Qiu and Cindy Huang collaborated with the school administrators to set up a program called “Book Tank.” Last year, they recorded 150 book posts and 90 successful trades. In 2019, the Book Tank program is now renewed! This year, it is called “The Bundles & Miscellaneous Edition.” Apart from buying and selling textbooks, people can now freely trade items under the “Miscellaneous” section.
This is a simple program that people can use as long as they have a WeChat account! Here’s a small, brief explanation of how to use the Book Tank.
Once you scan the QR code on the picture, you’ll see a screen as shown above. The school code for the SMIC Private School is ‘880912.’ After the school code is entered, the screen will appear just like the main picture of the article.
You can press the ‘Trade’ section at the bottom to look at the items that are currently up for sale. To sell new or used items, click the plus icon (look for a red rectangle on the picture).
Here, you will have to fill out some detailed information – book grade, subject, title, condition, class, first name, last name, wechat ID, price, extra notes, and a photo – to inform the buyers about the book. After you have added the book, you just have to wait until people contact you to buy the books!
Thanks to all of the hard work Jason Qiu, Cindy Huang, and the school faculties have invested, people can now conveniently purchase and sell! Remember to use Book Tank when you wish to buy and sell books!
