Dwyane Wade is headed back to Cleveland

Twelve-time NBA All-Star guard Dwyane Wade agreed to a contract buyout with the Chicago Bulls on September 27, 2017 and will officially sign a one-year deal in October with the Cleveland Cavaliers to reunite with LeBron James. The two best friends and former teammates are clearly aiming for the championship in the 2017-18 season, just like they did when they played for the Miami Heat.

As a three-time NBA champion and an MVP of the 2006 NBA Finals, Wade gave back $8 million of his $23.8 million 2017-18 salary to reach a buyout agreement with the Bulls. Wade averaged 18 points for the Bulls last season; in 14 seasons, he has averaged 23.3 points, with 5.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds a game.

Wade is a talented and experienced player. And although he is going to have his thirty-sixth birthday in January of next year, he is still going to be one of the key players in the team’s hopes of winning the final championship. No one underestimates his value, and no one thinks that he won’t be able to fit into the team. Caparzo Li, who is a fan of NBA and also a student at Shanghai University, indicated that, “Wade is an excellent player who brings another championship DNA, championship pedigree. He is the kind of player who can unite the team and get everyone involved.”

When speaking of the reunion of Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, many fans of the Cavaliers are waiting with amazingly high expectations for the “championship chemistry” to happen. “It’s such a great honor to see two incredible players work hard together in one great team. Wade shows his [humility] again,” Ryan Cui (CT11B), a basketball enthusiast, proudly announced. He hopes both Lebron and Wade can win more games and “get the championship for his hometown again.”
