What is different about SMIC-I compared to your previous school?
SMIC is totally international, so there are more foreigners here than where I came from. I was in a local school but the international division. So I’d say that SMIC-I is a huge school, the people here are really nice, and I’ve enjoyed my first two weeks.
What is your impression of the school so far?
I think the school’s environment is really nice, and the atmosphere for studying is really good. So far I’ve liked it a lot.
What interests you the most at SMIC-I?
I’d say the soccer field is so big, and I love soccer. Also, I like the wide range of courses SMIC-I offers.
How do you feel about your courses this year?
So far I’ve enjoyed every course that I have. I think it’s a different experience compared to local school, but it is very interesting. However, I’ll still need a little more time to totally get used to the system. But overall, they’re amazing.
How do you feel about the cafeteria food in SMIC-I?
Well, the cafeteria food is decent, not the best, but it’s fine, for now.
What is different about SMIC-I compared to your previous school?
My previous school had a combination of Canadian and Chinese curriculum but SMIC-I doesn’t.
What is your impression of the school so far?
I like the way classes are arranged since the schedules are almost the same every day, and it’s easier to remember.
What interests you the most at SMIC-I?
The design of the building interests me the most because it’s very colorful.
How do you feel about your courses this year?
I’m a little nervous about my schedule this year because I have to take two science courses.
How do you feel about the cafeteria food in SMIC-I?
I bring my lunch everyday, so I never had lunch in the cafeteria.
What is different about SMIC-I compared to your previous school?
I’ve just transferred to SMIC-I this year. It has a lot differences [compared] to the program I was studying before.
What is your impression of the school so far?
Good.
What interests you the most at SMIC-I?
This school is highly personal, designed for students themselves since it is comprised of course selections.
How do you feel about your courses this year?
I’m pretty satisfied with my classes. Being able to have such a wide range of selection is great.
How do you feel about the cafeteria food in SMIC-I?
The cafeteria food is OK, so-so. I don’t eat in the cafeteria often.
What is different about SMIC-I compared to your previous school?
Compared to my previous school I think this school gives me choices and opportunities. For example, I get to choose the subjects that I want to take, or the clubs I want to join.
What is your impression of the school so far?
My impression of the school is that it’s really big with a lot of outdoor space which I really like.
What interests you the most at SMIC-I?
Foreign language interests me the most in SMIC-I. I have never taken any foreign languages before so it’s something very new to me.
How do you feel about your courses this year?
Some of the courses are chosen by my parents. I’m not a hundred percent sure if I will enjoy it later on or do well in it. A lot of courses are new to me, so I look forward to discover them
How do you feel about the cafeteria food in SMIC-I?
It depends really. Some days it’s good, some days it’s…not as good.
What is different about SMIC-I compared to your previous school?
This is the best school. The students here are friendlier, and the teachers are more responsible. The campus has better scenery as well.
What interests you the most at SMIC-I?
I enjoy many clubs available in the school, such as video production club, drama club, and art club.
How do you feel about your courses this year?
The courses are very interesting, and they can help my future major.
What is different about SMIC-I compared to your previous school?
I think this school is very different from SCIS (my previous school). This school doesn’t have most of the materials like notebooks and free lunch but is much cheaper.
What is your impression of the school so far?
This school has a lot of nice people who are open to new students like me. The grading is very strict, and turning in late homework is not accepted.
What interests you the most at SMIC-I?
I am interested in the soccer field and the clubs. I think the idea of EEE is very interesting too. There are lots of different lunch meals.
How do you feel about your courses this year?
I feel fine about most of them. I can finish most of the homework without trouble. The only course is Chinese that bothers me a lot. I skipped Chinese to take Spanish last year, so I am kind of behind in Chinese.
How do you feel about the cafeteria food in SMIC-I?
It is yummy and nice. The lines are kind of long though. It is kind of better than my last school.
